Vision and Mission of Regional Head Candidates Must Align with RPJPD

BOLMONG, Kroniktoday.com – The Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency of Bolaang Mongondow Regency, Dr. Mutu Bulan Mokoginta, SE, MSi, emphasized the importance of aligning the vision and mission of candidates for Regent and Vice Regent with the Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD) for 2025-2029. This statement was made during the coordination meeting and socialization of the nomination stages for the 2024 Regent and Vice Regent election, organized by the Regional General Election Commission.

“The vision and mission of regional head candidates must align with the RPJPD and the policy directions for 2025-2029,” Mutu Mokoginta explained.

During the event, Mutu Bulan Mokoginta highlighted several issues and strategic challenges facing Bolaang Mongondow.

In his presentation, he identified five fundamental issues that regional head candidates need to address:
1. The need to improve the competitiveness and quality of human resources.
2. The need to optimize the sustainable value addition and productivity of the region.
3. The need to align regional development patterns and spatial planning.
4. The need to enhance environmentally friendly basic infrastructure.
5. The need to optimize environmental management and disaster mitigation.

Alfian Pobela, a member of the Bolaang Mongondow General Election Commission, reiterated the importance of aligning the vision and mission of candidates with the regional development plans.

According to Alfian, the vision and mission of regional head candidates should comply with the Indonesian General Election Commission’s letter dated July 17, 2024, number: 1215/PL.02.2-SD/05/2024, regarding the socialization of the preparation of vision, mission, and programs of prospective candidate pairs in accordance with the regional long-term and medium-term development plans.

“The Bolaang Mongondow General Election Commission is following up on the letter from the Indonesian General Election Commission,” Alfian stated. (lix)
